Our Big News!!!!

On Monday we.....

finally bought a piece of land...we have had some dramas and got mucked around on a different block but after searching around we found another Estate that I finally liked and Monday (yesterday) we signed the doco's and put in an offer and the Vendor accepted it today....I am pretty happy...it is a brand new estate, no houses have even started yet, so hopefully lots of families with kiddies Josh and Teagan's ages...plus it is only 15 minutes down the road from the kiddies Primary School, so they can finish School there.

We have chosen a lovely house and thanks to Connie ;) were put onto the builders we picked...lol...we had our hearts set on another house but that was the house that we picked with Rani and the design that we put on hold while Rani was admitted back in April until she came home, so it just didn't feel right anymore, even though we had planned this house for nearly 2 years...but we all love the house design that we are getting built and it will be exciting to have our own house again.

The only down side is that our house won't be started to be built until Aug/Sept, so we won't be moving in until December...poor Mum...lol

Speaking of Mum...what a fun long weekend we had with her...On Friday she went down to see her Mother and help her with some shopping and as she was walking back to the car she tripped in a pot hole and hurt her ankle. Well what she thought was a sprain, after a trip to emergency turned out to be a broken ankle.

So she was admitted to Hospital on Friday night, operated on Saturday (she broke her ankle on both sides (2 places) so has a plate on one side and pins on the other) and was discharged on Monday afternoon. She has to rest her leg for one week and today being her first full day at home is already going stir crazy...then she is in plaster for 6 weeks and so hopefully in 8 weeks will be fully mobile again...but no driving for 8 weeks is going to make her crazy. I suppose it is good that we are living at home and can do a lot of things for her...but I have a feeling that she is going to be a horrible patient...lol...we will see how I feel about her in a week...lol

YAY!!! I'm so excited about the land love, that's *fabulous* news!!

Building a house wasn't nearly as stressful as everyone says, we've done it twice now and both times have been pretty good. :) Can't wait to see the piccies as your new house goes up. You'll have a blast choosing colours and decorating too, that was the most FUN part!

Huggles to you and the kidlets as always!

Glad to hear that everything is going in the correct directions for you guys. Especially after what you have been thro, you now need to win your own LUCK.

But but what a shame about your Mum.. at least you are still around that is what matters the most. Guess it is what goes around comes around.

Glad to hear that everything is going well.. and hopefully the house gets build before you know it.
